Apple Pie
This all natural pie is a family tradition!
Ingredients:
6-8 cups apples
½ cup fruit juice
½ cup Emerald Forest Erythritol or Xylitol
1/3 cup arrowroot (or corn starch)
4 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450. Wash and core the apples; peeling is optional. Mix erythritol, arrowroot and lemon juice together over low heat. Whisk in spices. Pour over apples and blend until evenly coated. Spread mixture into unbaked pie shell. Apples will shrink when baking so overfill the pan. It’s optional to cover with a lattice or double crust. Bake 15 minutes at 450 and then reduce heat to 350. Bake until golden - about 30-35 minutes. Pie will slice mush easier if allowed to cool 5-10 minutes. Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream.

Yield: One 9” pie
